ADMINISTRATIVE

RECEPTIONIST

Status: Non-Exempt | 1 Part Time

Qualifications: Minimum of 1-year experience in secretarial and/or receptionist duties. Must be able to have an excellent rapport with the public; demonstrating a cheerful and positive attitude in all relationships. The ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, vendors and the general public. May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and staffing.  Must be willing to work on weekends and holidays as needed.

HEALTH CENTER

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

Status: Non-Exempt | 1 Part Time

Days: Vary/Weekends

Hours: Vary

Qualifications: LPN or RN currently licensed by the state. Fingerprints clearance card and CPR Certification required. At least 6 months of nursing experience. Geriatric involvement preferable. The ability to speak read and comprehend the English language. Must be able to work paying close attention to detail with frequent interruptions. Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the facility. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Status: Non-Exempt | 1 Part Time

Qualifications: Must be trained in the area of rehabilitation.  Demonstrates a practical knowledge of Facility policy and procedure for Restorative Nursing. Successful completion of a State approved nursing assistant training program. Certified or eligible for certification as a Nursing Assistant. Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home necessary. Able to perform duties with a minimum of supervision.  Must have an acute sense of responsibility with a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm conducive to rehabilitation and to growth.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)

Qualifications: High school diploma/GED required. Certified as a Nursing Assistant. Previous experience in a hospital or nursing home preferred but not required. Current CPR certification and evidence of Fingerprint Clearance required. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, residents, families, visitors and work in close cooperation with the nursing staff.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

HOUSEKEEPER/LAUNDRY AIDE

Status: Non-Exempt | 1 Full Time

Qualifications: Previous housekeeping/laundry experience preferred, but not required; will train on-the-job. Requires fundamental knowledge of housekeeping equipment, cleaning chemicals, and sanitation techniques. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions in English and communicate effectively; perform simple math.

CUSTODIAN

Status: Non-Exempt | 1 On Call

Qualifications: The Custodian cleans and services various building areas and performs a deep cleaning of varied departments, residential apartments, and common areas throughout the facility.  The Custodian performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the facility in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.

FOOD SERVICE

SERVERS

Qualifications: Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively. Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train. Ability to interpret and explain the menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests. Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers. Requires courtesy, tact, and graciousness.

UTILITY WORKER

Status: Non-Exempt |1 Part Time

Qualifications: Ability to understand and follow written/oral instructions and communicate effectively in English. Previous experience preferred but not required.  Will train on-the-job. Must acquire a Food Handler’s certification from the local health department within 30 days of hire. Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene. Free of any contagious diseases that may be transmitted through food or beverage substances, as specified annually in the American Disabilities Act and as evidenced by tuberculosis tests and physical examinations as required by law.

HEALTH CENTER COOK

Qualifications: Ability to prepare and cook all food in accordance with specified recipes and procedures, assures that foods served to residents and guests of Sierra Winds are of high quality, meeting standards of portion, doneness, freshness and presentation, and maintains HC kitchen/main kitchen and storage areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner in accordance with state regulations.  The Health Center Cook is responsible for the proper preparation of the planned menu and assists in the supervision and leadership of all kitchen employees.
